Semi Permanent is a huge design conference that started in 2003 in Sydney, Australia and has since spead around the globe, from New York to London to Hong Kong and now the Pacific Northwest.

We have been long time (online penpal) friends of Andrew Johnstone, co-founder of Semi Permanent and the art and design blogwww.designiskinky.net. In fact, we credit much of the success and recognition of the Tank Theory brand in Australia and abroad to the hype generated by Andrew and Design is Kinky.

Well we are happy to finally have met Andrew in person, as he's spending some time in Portland surrounding the event. After all the help he has given to spread the gospel of Tank Theory abroad, we thought it only fair to help him out while in our town. What way best to help out? Tshirts of course! Zach volunteered to cook up some character work to embellish the Semi Permanent logo for volunteers at the event both here and in LA next. He worked on a couple different versions and I think the the winner turned out to be the simplest.. The linework masked into the Semi Permanent logo.. classic black and white.

Oh and for those in the Northwest, some info about the event below:
http://www.semipermanent.com/event_portland_2013

Art

Tshirts

New Tees!

We are pumped to have just picked up our first new tees for 2013! Imaginary Friends, a new graphic by Zach, will be available online in the next week or 2, so keep posted!

Art

Lab

Zach Johnsen New Illo!

Zach is working on a new illustration that is slated for print. Some variation of this new artwork will probably be our first tee of 2013!

Note the little Skull Block patch on the lizard dude's jacket.. yeah!

Art

Lab

James Roper Vessel Print

We are really digging James Roper new print offering, Vessel. This is a hand pulled 4 color screen print on archival paper. 60x42.5cm. edition of 30. pychadelic horror imagery overlaying the cross. Some Manwolfs came and shredded the mini ramp. Tank Theory and <a
